About the role
As a Full-Stack Developer at Vorpcel, you will build the product experiences used by our customers and internal teams. You will work across Go and Python backend services, APIs, relational data models and web interfaces built with HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
You will turn complex security data and workflows into software that is understandable, responsive and dependable. This includes making sound architecture decisions, handling edge cases, writing automated tests and observing how features behave after they reach production.
The role has meaningful ownership across the stack. You do not need to be equally specialized in every layer, but you must be able to deliver and debug complete features while collaborating well with security, product, design and infrastructure.
What you will do
- Design, build and deliver complete product features from data model and backend service to browser interface.
- Develop and maintain backend services, APIs and integrations in Go and Python.
- Build accessible, responsive interfaces with semantic HTML, maintainable CSS and modern JavaScript.
- Model data and write reliable queries and migrations for PostgreSQL.
- Implement background jobs, third-party integrations and asynchronous workflows where appropriate.
- Write unit, integration and end-to-end tests that protect important product behavior.
- Review code, improve shared engineering standards and document important technical decisions.
- Diagnose issues using logs, metrics and traces, and improve application performance and reliability.
- Apply secure development practices to authentication, authorization, input handling and tenant isolation.
- Own features after release, incorporate user feedback and address operational issues.
What we look for
- Demonstrated experience delivering production web applications across backend and frontend layers.
- Ability to design, implement, test and debug backend services in both Go and Python.
- Strong command of semantic HTML, modern CSS and JavaScript without depending entirely on frameworks.
- Experience designing APIs and relational data models and working effectively with PostgreSQL.
- Understanding of browser behavior, responsive design, accessibility and frontend performance.
- Experience with automated testing, Git-based workflows, code review and continuous delivery practices.
- Ability to troubleshoot distributed application behavior with logs, metrics and traces.
- Working knowledge of web security, authentication, authorization and secure data handling.
- Ability to break down ambiguous product needs and own a feature through production operation.
- Clear communication and effective collaboration across engineering, security, product and design.
- Nice to have: experience with Django, FastAPI, TypeScript, Redis, message queues or containers.
- Nice to have: experience with data visualization or cybersecurity products.
